Additionally, the prevalence of fake news and manipulated narratives, such as false reports about political figures and fabricated stories about public policies, further exacerbate the risk. This environment is compounded by the use of sophisticated technologies like deepfakes and AI-generated content, which make it increasingly difficult for individuals to discern truth from falsehood, thereby escalating the threat level.
